    A real scenario

A long voice note from Thrissur during the night shift

Anil works nights at a hotel in Dubai. His mother sends a long Malayalam voice note about his sister's wedding dates and a payment for the hall. He cannot play it at the front desk, so he uploads it and reads the text on his break. The next day his landlord leaves a voice message in Arabic about the rent renewal; Anil uploads that too and reads it in Malayalam. Both go in folders — "Amma" and "Flat". Record → ask → get

    1. 1 · Save and upload

In WhatsApp, share the voice note and save it to Files (iPhone) or your phone storage (Android), then upload it. OGG, M4A, MP3 and WAV work. No app to install.

    2. 2 · Read it in your language

You get the full text as it was spoken, Malayalam with English words included. Translate into English, Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi or 50+ languages in one tap.

    3. 3 · Keep it and ask

Put it in a folder — "Amma", "Flat", "Visa" — so it is easy to find. On Pro, ask a folder what was decided, with the voice note it came from.

    Example

    You ask: “My action items”

Example answer: "Send the hall advance before the 20th (Source: Amma voice note, 3 Nov). Call uncle about the guest list (Source: Amma voice note, 5 Nov)."

    You ask: “Explain in Malayalam.”

Example answer: The landlord's Arabic voice message, explained in simple Malayalam: the rent goes up at renewal and he needs an answer by the end of the month.

You ask: “Where was the wedding date discussed, and in which recording?”

Example answer: "The 14 December date was first mentioned on 3 Nov and confirmed on 9 Nov (Source: Amma voice note, 3 Nov; Achan voice note, 9 Nov)."

Examples show what hearlog does with your own voice notes; the answers depend on what was said. Check names, dates and amounts against the audio before you act on them.

All the voice notes from home, in one place

Make a folder for family, your flat, or a visa process and keep every voice note there as text. On Pro, ask the whole folder one question — "What did Amma say about the hall payment?" — and get the answer with the voice note it came from. The free plan includes 2 folders; Pro gives you as many as you need and lets you ask across them.

    • Where was ___ discussed, and in which recording?
    • My action items
    • What's still open?
    • Summarize all selected on one topic
    • Explain in ___

How do I upload a WhatsApp voice note?

    Is it free?

Yes. The free plan gives you 300 minutes a month, files up to 100 minutes each, transcripts, translation and 2 folders. No card. You can try a voice note of up to 3 minutes without an account; saving and translating later need a free account.

Do I need to install an app?

No. hearlog runs in the browser on your phone or laptop, so there is nothing to download from an app store. It works in any modern browser, wherever you are — the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and India.

Are my family's voice notes private?

Your voice notes and text are stored encrypted at rest (AES-256, database level) and sent over HTTPS. Each account can open only its own notes. No bot joins your calls — you upload yourself — and you can delete a voice note whenever you like.
